Nigeria are still without a win in their 2026 World Cup qualifying group after falling to a 2-1 defeat to Benin Republic.

Nigeria took the lead after 27 minutes through Raphael Onyedika but Benin fought back to level matters and scored again to go ahead before halftime.

This loss leaves Nigeria in fifth place in Group C, with Benin leading the table.
