Egypt forward Mohamed Salah has left the Africa Cup of Nations camp in Ivory Coast to return to Liverpool due to his injury, reports say.
Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp said, via Lewis Steele, that if the 31-year-old is fit before the Afcon final then he will return to Ivory Coast. The plan is for the player to do his rehab with the club.
Salah sustained an injury in Egypt’s second group stage game against Ghana.
The Pharaohs have only two points from two games so far but have a chance to advance to the last-16 when they face group leaders Cape Verde on Monday.
