Nigeria beat hosts Ivory Coast 1-0 on Thursday to register their first win of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Captain William Troost-Ekong converted from the penalty spot in the 55th minute following a foul on Victor Osimhen to give the Super Eagles all three points.
Nigeria are second in Group A with 4 points – same points as Equatorial Guinea who are top thanks to their superior goal difference.
