Meanwhile, Serbia’s Djokovic faced a tough challenge in the quarter-finals against Karen Khachanov but managed to secure a hard-fought victory. The 36-year-old Serbian player initially faced the prospect of falling two sets behind against the Russian, but he displayed his resilience and won the match 4-6, 7-6 (7-0), 6-2, 6-4.

With this win, Djokovic keeps his hopes alive for a record 23rd men’s Grand Slam singles title. Additionally, he has the opportunity to become the first man to win each of the four majors at least three times.

The upcoming semi-final between Djokovic and US Open champion Alcaraz is highly anticipated, as both players have showcased their exceptional skills throughout the tournament. Alcaraz, the world number one, expressed his excitement, stating, “This match is what everyone wants to watch, and it will be a good one to play. If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best. Djokovic is one of the best in the world, and I’m looking forward to it.”

With Rafael Nadal absent due to injury, Djokovic and Alcaraz have emerged as the top contenders for the prestigious title, given their remarkable performances in the tournament thus far.
