Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic has been discussing an array of topics in his pre-match press conference ahead of his side trip to Werder Bremen this weekend.

“We had initially committed ourselves to this system where we have strengthened in the centre,”said Terzic.

“But we can always adjust it. We’re on the right track right now, but you could see that in the first half of the season. We’re not satisfied yet and want to keep going.”

Marius Wolf was replaced against Bochum in the DFB Pokal on Wednesday and whilst playing against Werder Bremen is a risk, Terzic stated that there are “no changes in the squad,” and so we can expect to see a similar XI.

Emre Can has been on the end of criticism in recent weeks, but impressed in Dortmund’s DFB Pokal win against Bochum.

Praising the German, Terzic added: “Emre not only played his way into the team, but he also worked hard on his fitness. The role he’s taking on right now has been extremely important over the past weeks.”

Borussia Dortmund vs Werder Bremen is a fixture that always produces goals.

The reverse fixture saw BVB take a 2-0 lead, only to lose 3-2 with goals from Bremen’s Niklas Schmidt and Oliver Burke in stoppage time.

However, Dortmund have started the year in excellent form with four successive league wins.

Dortmund are just three points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
