Victor Osimhen of Napoli and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia combined for the striker’s amazing volley that gave Napoli the lead over Roma.
Luciano Spalletti’s team welcomed AS Roma and Jose Mourinho in an effort to retain their commanding lead atop Serie A.
With 16 minutes on the clock, Mario Rui deftly found Kvaratskhelia on the left side of the field, and he crossed to the far post to find Osimhen.
Osimhen took the ball down on his chest, flicked it up on his knee between a group of Roma players, and then blasted a magnificent volley into the top corner of the net.
In 15 Serie A games this season, Osimhen has tallied 14 goals and four assists. His performance has led to rumors that he may join Manchester United; however, the rumored €100 million transfer fee may prove to be a stumbling block in any negotiations.
It’s difficult to imagine the Nigerian’s price tag dropping anytime soon; right now, he surely appears to be worth every penny as he drives Napoli closer to the Scudetto.

Despite having a sizable lead at the top of Serie A table, Napoli showed no interest in settling for a point, which is a reflection of their approach this season.
Roma had a strong second half performance and would have been deserving of a draw, but the hosts displayed incredible resiliency to hold on and ultimately come up with a winning goal.
Due to Juventus’ points deduction, which eliminates their chances of finishing first, Napoli are currently 13 points clear at the top of Serie A, making the possibility of their first championship since 1989/90 a formality.
