Senegal advanced to the quarterfinals of the Africa Cup of Nations following a 2-0 win over Cape Verde, who had two of their players sent off.
Patrick Andrade received his marching orders in the 21st minute and Vozinha was shown a straight red in the 57th minute after VAR review for a last man foul with the match still goalless.
Sadio Mane then netted the opener in the 63rd minute before Ahmadou Dieng wrapped things up in stoppage time to send the Senegalese into the last eight.
Runners-up in 2019, Senegal will take on either Morocco or Malawi for a place in the semifinals.
