Manchester United snapped their four game winless run in the Premier League with a fine 3-0 win over Tottehman Hotspur on Saturday.
United had lost 5-0 to Liverpool at Old Trafford last weekend, but bounced back nicely to pick up all three points away from home.
Ronaldo fired United in front with a sublime volley in the first half before Edinson Cavani doubled their advantage in the 64th minute. Marcus Rashford then sealed victory for the Red Devils with a goal deep in the second half.
The win sends United into fifth place – eight points behind leaders Chelsea. While it eases some of the pressure on manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, it compounds Nuno Santo’s woes.
Santo’s Spurs are down in eight with 15 points. They’ve now lost five of their opening ten league games this season.
