Nigeria international Victor Osimhen came in in the second half to help Napoli to a 3–0 victory over Legia Warsaw at the Diego Maradona Stadium on Thursday night – their first win in the Europa League this season.
The Italian side had registered a draw and loss in their opening two group stage games.
Both sides had played out a goalless first half, but Napoli went ahead in the 76th minute through Lorenzo Insigne, and four minutes later Osimhen – who was subbed on in the 57th minute – scored the second.
Osimhen has now recorded nine goals in his last eight games for Napoli across all competitions.
Matteo Politano would hit the third in the 96th minute to complete a convincing victory for the Blues.
