Barcelona and Ansu Fati have reached an agreement to renew the player’s contract until 30 June 2027, with a buy out clause set at 1 billion euros.
Fati joined La Masía in 2012 and progressed through Barcelona’s youth teams before making his first-team debut in 2019 at the age of 16.
He became the second-youngest Barça player to ever debut for the first-team in La Liga on August 25, 2019, aged just 16 years and 298 days old. A week after his debut, the Spanish striker became Barça’s youngest ever player to score in La Liga against Osasuna.
The 18-year-old, who now wears the number 10 shirt, has made 47 first-team appearances for Barca, scoring 15 goals.
