Forward Samuel Kalu and Tyronne Ebuehi, who plays in defenslce, have returned negative Covid-19 test results ahead of Super Eagles World Cup qualifying clash with Cape Verde on Tuesday.

It was reported on Monday that Kalu and Ebuehi tested positive for Covid-19 and as a result will miss the game with Cape Verde. However, that could change with this recent development.

Still, the Super Eagles will be without eight of their players, who had to return to the UK after their 2–0 win over Liberia last Friday.

Despite the depleted squad, coach Gernot Rohr charged the rest of the team to produce their best against the Blue Sharks.

Nigeria currently sit top of Group C, with 3 points from a game.
