The Super Eagles will be without two players for their World Cup qualifying game against Cape Verde on Tuesday due to Covid-19, according to OwnGoalNigeria.

The two players – Samuel Kalu of Bordeaux and Tyronne Ebuehi, a defender with Serie A club, Venezia – tested positive for Coronavirus and will miss the game.

Kalu was slated to play in attack, while Ebuehi was to take a spot in defence. The positive Covid-19 results further depletes Gernot Rohr’s squad, following the departure of eight UK-based players.

Nigeria defeated Liberia 2–0 last Friday and will be looking to claim a second straight World Cup qualifying win when they file out against the Blue Sharks.
