The Head Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Gernot Rohr has not be paid his wages by the Nigeria Football Federation for seven months, according to OwnGoalNigeria.

Rohr has not been paid since the start of the year. The German had agreed to take a pay cut, by dropping his salary by $6,000, and now earns $49,000 per month.

The coach agreed to be paid in Naira, but OwnGoalNigeria says he has so far been unable to convert it to U.S Dollars for use. The bank has refused to covert it for him using the exchange rate of Nigeria’s apex bank, the CBN.

Using the Black Market for exchange, which appears to be Rohr’s last resort, will see him lose 40% of his salary.

The report says the head coach has written severally to the bank and also contacted the NFF. To boot, the Super Eagles are also heading into their World Cup qualifying campaign with two years of unpaid bonuses.
