Nigeria international Victor Osimhen was red-carded in his first game of the 2021/2022 season on Sunday.
The 22-year-olf striker was in action for Napoli against Venezia in their Serie A opener, when he hit an opponent during a corner kick in the 23rd minute.
He was shown a straight red for violent conduct and could miss Napoli’s coming games.
Osimhen scored 10 goals for Napoli in 24 league appearances last season.
The match is still on, without a goal yet from either side, as at the time of writing.
