Koln are one of the clubs to have a living Mascot and it dates back to the club’s second year anniversary in 1950. The first Hennes was donated by a circus entrepreneur as a Cologne carnival joke and was named after legendary player and former manager, Hennes Weisweiler.
One of the other clubs to have a living Mascot is Crystal Palace, Kayla, the Eagle, but sadly she passed on aged 28 due to heart attack in June 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.
