The first round matches of the 2020/21 UEFA Champions League quarter final see Chelsea and Paris St. Germain go through to the semifinal at the expense of Porto and defending champions Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich beat PSG 1-0 at the Parc De Princes through Eric Choupo-Moting but were unable to get the second to ensure qualification as PSG got their revenge for losing last season’s final to the German Champions.

PSG wasted a lot of chances with Neymar hitting the woodwork twice in two minutes before Choupo-Moting put Bayern ahead. Bayern pushed for the second goal but were unable to get it.

Chelsea on the other hand succumbed to a last minute goal from Mehdi Taremi, an incredible overhead kick that left goalkeeper Edouard Mendy rooted to his line, but the deed was done and Chelsea progressed to the semifinal for the first time since 2012.

Mehdi Taremi may have just scored the best goal of this season's Champions League
