Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho did not find Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s comment on Heung-Min Son funny and responded fiercely.
United beat Tottenham at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium 3-1 on Sunday afternoon 3-1. Son put Tottenham ahead and United responded through Fred, Cavani and Greenwood.
The match was without controversies but one moment in the game that got both managers talking was when Son went down under challenge and refused to get up and had to be helped up by teammates.
“We shouldn’t be conned. If my son stays down for three minutes and he needs his 10 mates to help him up, he won’t get any food.” Ole said of the incident.
“Sonny is very lucky that his father is a better person than Ole. because a father, you have always to feed your kids, It doesn’t matter what they do. If you have to steal to feed your kids, you steal. I have told Ole what I think about his comments.” Mourinho responded to Ole.
It’s not the first time the two managers have thrown words at each other. Ole replaced Mourinho at United and is believed to have brought back a positive atmosphere to United.
In responding to a question on whether he has lost his spark, he said: “some people have the spark but won nothing.” referring to the three titles he won at United and Ole who is yet to win a title.
