The five Benin Republic players who were claimed to have tested positive for Covid-19 in Freetown ahead of their AFCON qualifier Group L game against Sierra Leone on Tuesday have all tested negative at the airport as they depart to their respective clubs. 

The game, a decider for who goes through to Cameroon was abandoned after Benin rejected the results and didn’t step out to the pitch. The game was postponed by CAF to the next international break on the FIFA calendar which is in June.

The five players are Saturnin Allagbé, Khaled Adenon, Yohan Roche, Steve Mounié and Jodel Dossou.
