Highly revered German tactician Ralf Rangnick has stated the reason why Bayern Munich will be the powerhouse of German football for years to come.

Bayern Munich have been the most dominant club in Germany, have won 30 league titles including the last eight and if any man knows why, it is Rangnick.

“Due to the financial situation Bayern, who at a rough estimate have twice the financial resources in their budget, will be the leading power in German football until that changes,” Rangnick told Bundesliga.

“I don’t see that changing in the next few years either. In spite of that opportunities might present themselves from time-to-time, perhaps even this season, as we just discussed.”

RB Leipzig is Bayern’s primary challenger this season, they sit four points behind them on the table and both sides will square off in the match day 27 and Rangnick believes they could keep up with Bayern in the future.

“In the future, RB will continue to keep pace at the top as long as they don’t make any mistakes in player transfers or head coaching appointments,” Rangnick said.

“If RB stays true to the path that got them where they are today, they’ll continue to be strong. Even so, Bayern will be difficult to overtake in the near future due to the financial advantage they have.”

Bayern Munich are on course to win a ninth straight Bundesliga, are four points ahead of Leipzig with eight games to spare. They also have a rematch of last season’s Champions League final against PSG in this season’s quarterfinal.

Rangnick has been appointed the sporting director of crisis hit Schalke 04 who are sure to relegate to Bundesliga II.
