The Super Eagles of Nigeria will take on the Crocodiles of Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun stadium in Lagos tomorrow and NFF partners have provided a cash gift of ₦2million (Two million Naira) for the Eagles best player in the match.
An alcohol producing company is putting down a sum of ₦1million (one million Naira) for the best Eagle in the match while another sponsor, a motor brand is also putting down the same amount for the best player.
The cash gift is expected to serve as motivation for already qualified Eagles who have nothing to fight for against the Crocodiles who won’t qualify regardless of the outcome of the match.
According to NFF, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State is expected to lead the dignitaries to Tuesday’s encounter, with his deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
Sports and Youth Development Minister Sunday Dare and the permanent secretary in the ministry, Mr Nebolisa Anako are also expected. President of the NFF and Nigeria’s new member of the FIFA Council, Mr Amaju Melvin Pinnick will lead the eminents of the football family to the match.
