RB Leipzig closed the gap at the top of the Bundesliga table to two points behind Champions Bayern Munich with a 2-0 win over Hertha Berlin after Bayern lost 2-1 at Eintracht Frankfurt.
American Tyler Adams provided an assist for one of the goals and spoke to Bundesliga after the match, revealing Julian Nagelsmann’s side ambitions.
“For me when you come to a club like this, and we have such a young team, we want to win trophies. We have big ambitions as a club and obviously winning a Bundesliga title is one of those goals. So we’re close right now, but there are still so many games to play so we have to stay focused.” Adams told Bundesliga.
Last season’s semi finalist RB Leipzig lost their first leg of their Champions League round of 16 game against Liverpool in their makeshift home in Budapest, Hungary and would hope to turn it around when they face the stuttering English champions in March.
