Roma attacker Stephan El Shaarawy chased and knocked down a robber stealing from his car before police eventually arrested the man., according to reports from the Italian media.
The robber was reported to have broken into El Shaarawy’s car through the rear window and on sighting him, the former AC Milan man chased him and knocked him to the ground.
Sky Italia reported that passers-by called the local police who intervened and arrested the suspect while he was held down by El Shaarawy.
He left Italian football in 2019 to the Chinese Super League with Shanghai Shenhua and returned to Roma in the January transfer window.
