Tottenham striker Harry Kane could be out for a few weeks according to Jose Mourinho after double ankle injury in Tottenham’s 3-1 home loss to Liverpool.
Harry Kane did not turn up for the second half of the match due to inability to cope after two tackles, one each from Thiago Alcantara and Jordan Henderson left him injured on both ankles.
“It’s two ankles, not one, two. He was coping with one, he couldn’t cope with both. Clearly, he’s a guy with good spirit, good sacrifice, so for Harry to say, ‘no chance’ for the second half, we know that it’s not a simple one.” Mourinho said.
Mourinho would be hopeful Kane recovers in time with tough ties against Chelsea and Manchester City as well as the Europa League knockout stages coming up in the first half of next month.
