Athletic Bilbao have knocked out holders Real Madrid in the semifinal of SuperCopa and will play Barcelona in the final on Sunday.
Raul Garcia put Bilbao ahead in the 18th minute and got his second of the night from the spot in the 38th minute. Karim Benzema pulled one back for Madrid in the second half but it was not enough. Madrid had a penalty call late denied by VAR.
Barcelona who were without Lionel Messi beat Real Sociedad on penalties due to Ter Stegen heroics.
The Blaugrana may be without Messi again for the final as Ronald Koeman would battle for the first silverware of his reign as Barca manager.
