UEFA fourth official accused of racism in the final Group H match between PSG and Istanbul Basaksehir has said he is not racist.
Sebastian Coltescu was alleged to have made a racist remark towards Basaksehir’s assistant manager Pierre Webo.
Coltescu has now said he’s not racist in an interview with Romanian newspaper Prosport.
“I am just trying to be good. I will not read any news during these days. Anyone who knows me knows I’m not racist. At least, I hope that’s the case.”
The match was suspended that day and resumed the second day and ended 5-1 in favour of PSG. UEFA have opened an investigation into the case and if found guilty Coltescu may face up to 10 games ban or more severe punishment.
