Liverpool will play their Champions League game against FC Midtjylland at the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund.
Liverpool expressed concerns at having to travel to the Danish side for their European clash due to a recent outbreak of coronavirus in Denmark which has prompted a request for venue change.
And their request has been met with Dortmund’s 81,000 capacity stadium as the venue. A spokesperson Ruhr Nachrichten said “Dortmund has been selected as the venue for the game on December 9.”
It means Jurgen Klopp will return to the stadium where he spent seven years as manager. He has only returned once for a competitive fixture this his departure – A Europa League clash back in 2016.
