Lionel Messi gifts Budweiser to goalkeepers he scored against: Lionel Messi, who recently broke Pele’s record number of goals for one club by netting his 644th career goal for Barcelona on Tuesday, sent limited edition ‘Messi’ beer bottles to all the goalkeepers against whom he scored.

Celebrating Messi’s achievement, famous beer brand Budweiser released a short film titled ‘Kings aren’t made overnight’ which features the limited edition ‘Messi’ beer bottle. In its promo, the Argentine can be seen writing a note to every goalkeeper, which would be sent along with the beers, as he goes on to say, ‘No goal is easy!’

On this occasion, Budweiser released the limited-edition Lionel Messi bottle. The intricately designed label celebrates the La Liga legend’s core values along with his original quote on what it takes to fulfill your potential:

“Life is about choices, sacrifices, determination and hard work.” It is these attributes that Budweiser believes sets Messi apart as the world’s greatest player and makes him so widely respected both on and off the field.

644 goals = 644 moments of Messi magic

And yes, we’ve created a custom bottle for every single goal to send to the keepers to toast their part in history.
