Nigerian forward Taiwo Awoniyi continues his fine form for Union Berlin as he grabbed the opening goal in the 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund.

He showed great awareness to beat off his marker and send a powerful header past Roman Burki to break the deadlock for Union Berlin in the 57th minute.

A quality finish from in close.

Awoniyi on loan from Liverpool scored his fourth goal in six games, his first home goal with the other three scored away.

Awoniyi signed for Liverpool in 2015 and has gone on several loans due to inability to secure a work permit in England. He spent last season on loan at Mainz 05 where he scored just one goal and suffered a concussion that he miraculously survived.

He made the switch to Union Berlin at the start of the season and is enjoying life in the German capital.
