Mohamed Salah’s second-half penalty came to Liverpool’s rescue as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Fulham took a first-half lead through Bobby De Cordova-Reid’s strike after VAR overturned a penalty decision.

Liverpool took a share of the spoils from the spot after Georginio Wijnaldum’s free-kick had been handled by the wall and Salah scored from the point.

Alisson Becker helped Liverpool keep the scoreline reputable at halftime with some class saves.

The result leaves Liverpool second on the table behind Tottenham who also drew away at Crystal Palace.
