Golden boy Erling Haaland set a new Bundesliga goalscoring record with his four goals at Hertha Berlin last weekend.
He has scored 23 goals in his first 22 Bundesliga games surpassing Uwe Seeler’s record of 20 goals in the same number of games.
He also became the youngest player to score four goals in a match in Bundesliga history at the age of 20 years and four months.
His eight goals after the first 10 games of the season equalled the club record set by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in 2015/16 and 2017/18.
It was the first “flawless hat-trick” – when a player scores three uninterrupted goals in one half – in the Bundesliga since Ishak Belfodil of Hoffenheim in Augsburg in April 2019. The last BVB player to do so was Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang away to HSV in November 2016.
