Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has described his large squad as a ’nice problem’ ahead of United’s Champions League fixture against RB Leipzig on Wednesday.

Speaking to Omasports in an interview with journalists on Tuesday, Ole said he has been a part of a Manchester United team with good depth and he savours the challenges his players pose.

“I have been part of a successful Man UTD team myself and we had two players in every single position and I think now, the most successful teams, the teams that are winning trophies have competition for places.

“It is not easy to lead players out, it is very difficult but the pressure is, I do not feel that pressure, the pressure is on getting a result and picking a team that we think is going to win the next game and even planning one, two, three, four games,”

Ole has had to rotate his squad in the last few weeks with new signing Donny Van Den Beek often coming on from the bench while Paul Pogba also impressed against Chelsea when he came on as a substitute. The Norwegian isn’t having sleepless nights about having to satisfy his players and says having a large pool to select from is a good one for the team.

Van Den Beek hasn’t had a flying start to his Manchester United career

“Because we need to win more than just one game so it is a nice challenge or problem to have. I would rather have that one than having players that are not ready, ready for the premiership.”
