Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has advised youngster, Calum Hudson-Odoi against moving to German champions, Bayern Munich.

There have been weeks of endless transfer speculations linking the England youth international with a move to Munich.

Italian, Sarri has however unequivocally restated his desire to have Hudson-Odoi develop at Stamford Bridge. He said the skilful winger had improved tremendously in the last few weeks, citing the defensive development to his game as particularly noteworthy.

He said a move to one of Europe’s biggest teams in Bayern Munich would not help Hudson-Odoi because of his chances with the national team, and future development.

“He is an English player who is very young. His future is in England with the national team and Chelsea. I think staying back in England will be suitable for him,” Sarri stated during a press conference.

Hudson-Odoi will however not be short of friends in Germany as Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson is also on loan at TSG Hoffenheim. There is also Jaydon Sancho who is enjoying life in Germany at Borussia Dortmund. Himself is a good friend of Hudson-Odoi with whom he played with at youth level for England

I have told him the Bundesliga is a top league. However, he wants him to do what is best for him

However, he may head back to England soon, leaving Hudson-Odoi’s prospect of a move to Bayern hanging on the balance, as Sarri’s words wholly suggest too.
