St. Petersburg: The Super Eagles of Nigeria captain, John Obi Mikel fractured his metacarpal against Iceland, but should be ready to face Argentina on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. That was the feedback given by the Coach of the African side Gernot Rohr.
Unfortunately, there is one injury. We have the captain who has a fracture of the metacarpal, but I think he can play with a cast,” said Rohr. “So, the medical team is working on him. “We are now preparing for our next game against Argentina. We’re focused on this game, and we’ll do all to prepare this team in the best way possible.”
The Nigerian national football team landed in St. Petersburg in preparation for the crunch tie against the Argentine team at the St. Petersburg stadium. It is a tie both sides must win if they want to proceed to the next round of the competition.
