‘It’s good vibe here’ – Nigeria goalie Okoye says Super Eagles are ready to take on Liberia

Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye said the vibe in the Super Eagles camp in Morocco is good ahead of their game with Liberia.

Nigeria will face Liberia in the World Cup qualifiers in Tangier Morocco on Saturday evening.

“It’s been good [preparations], we are getting ready for the match. It’s a good vibe here, everybody is fit we have the injured players back, I can’t wait,” Okoye told NFF TV.

The 22-year-old shot stopper, who recently signed for Watford from Sparta Rotterdam on a five-and-half year deal, added that the Super Eagles will not be underrating their opponents – despite having defeated them 2-0 in Lagos back in September.

“From the last matches, we could learn that there are no easy opponents here in Africa. We have to be very focused, we have to be 100 percent and then I’m sure we will get three points.

“First of all is the three points and then the clean sheet.”

Nigeria top Group C with nine points – two more than second-placed Cape Verde – and victory over the Lone Stars will increase their chances of advancing to the final stage of the World Cup qualifiers.
