Nigeria goalkeeper Maduka Okoye joins Italian side Udinese on 4-year deal
Nigeria goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has joined Udinese on a 4-year deal.
Okoye joined Watford from Sparta Rotterdam last year but made just an appearance for the English side.
The 23-year-old Nigerian will be the number two man at Udinese, but will get the necessary support and education to enable him transition into being number one at the Serie A side, latest in 2024/2025.

Udinese finished 12th in the Serie A last season, while Watford, who were relegated in the 2021/2022 Premier League season, failed to secure a return to top-flight football after they finished 11th in the Championship.
Udinese began the 2023/24 season with a 3-0 loss to Juventus and will look to bounce back when they face Salernitana this weekend.
