Nigeria goalkeeper Maduka Okoye is set to go on loan at Udinese from Watford, Omasports understands.

Okoye joined Watford from Sparta Rotterdam last year but has made just an appearance for the English side.

It’s seems that the officials and owners of Watford and Udinese are planning to give the 23-year-old goalkeeper a new chance for his future and career. However, an official statement from the club is being anticipated.

It seems that the plan is to loan Okoye from Watford to Udinese. He will be the number two man at Udinese, but will get the necessary support and education to enable him transition into being number one at the Serie A side, latest in 2024/2025.

Udinese finished 12th in the Serie A last season, while Watford, who were relegated in the 2021/2022 Premier League season, failed to secure a return to top-flight football after they finished 11th in the Championship.
