Kamaru Usman and Francis Ngannou bag degrees from Harvard Business School

Nigerian professional mixed martial artist Kamarudeen Usman recently took to social media to announce that he will be earning a degree from Harvard Business School. Usman, also known as the Nigerian Nightmare, shared this achievement alongside another MMA star, Francis Ngannou, who hails from Cameroon and is known as the Predator. Ngannou also posted photos celebrating his degree from Harvard Business School.

Usman expressed his satisfaction with this decision, stating, “One of the best decisions I’ve made in a while s/o to my friend @sarah_themaven and @anitaelberse. I learned so much from this @harvardhbs #hbsbems2023.”

In his photos, Usman was seen posing with Professor Anita, while Ngannou, who recently transitioned from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to the Professional Fighting League (PFL), thanked Professor Anita for the incredible experience in the BEMS program at Harvard Business School, stating, “I’ll never forget it.”

During their visit to Harvard Business School, Ngannou and Usman attended classes alongside other notable individuals. They both enrolled in the esteemed Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports program. This program also welcomed other renowned athletes, including Pakistani cricketers Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam, César Azpilicueta from Chelsea FC, Eniola Aluko, a former women’s football player turned commentator, and many others.

The dedication of these athletes to pursue education alongside their athletic careers serves as an inspiration to younger generations. Their involvement in the course The Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports (BEMS) has not only demonstrated their commitment to personal growth but has also sparked interest from other celebrities in the MMA world.
