Ahmed Musa, the captain of the Nigerian national team, has expressed confidence that they will give their all to secure the win against Sierra Leone and qualify for the Cup of Nations finals.

The crucial match between Nigeria and Sierra Leone is set to take place at the SKD Stadium in Monrovia on Sunday. Nigeria requires a victory to secure their qualification for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

In their previous encounter last June in Abuja, Nigeria toughed out a 2-1 comeback victory against Sierra Leone.

Nevertheless, Musa has reassured that he and his teammates are fully prepared and determined to secure the victory.

“We are very prepared because we know it’s not going to be easy,” Musa stated during the pre-match conference, as reported by Modo Victor.

“The team that emerges victorious will have the advantage. If we win, we automatically qualify for the AFCON.”

Recognizing Sierra Leone’s strength, Musa emphasized the importance of hard work on the field to secure the three points.

“They are a very good team. While we have many talented players, it would be difficult for us to secure the win if we don’t give our best on the pitch. We understand the significance of this game and will go all out to win.”

In their recent encounters, the Super Eagles have emerged victorious once against Sierra Leone, while the other two matches ended in draws.
