Senegal defeated Egypt 4-2 on penalties to clinch their first-ever Africa Cup of Nations title on Sunday.
Runners-up in 2019, the Teranga Lions went one better this around to finish top of the heap in Cameroon.
Senegal had started brightly and received a penalty inside the opening four minutes, but Sadio Mane had his kick saved. The Senegalese largely controlled proceedings and were kept out by the brilliance of the Egyptian keeper Gabaski.
Following a 0-0 draw after extra time, Mane, who had earlier missed a penalty, held his nerves to net the winning spot-kick and ensure victory for Senegal at the Olembe Stadium in Yaounde.
