Ahead of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations, Ejuke Chidera has expressed excitement at being included in the Super Eagles’ 28-man list to Cameroon, saying it’s a dream come true to represent his country.

“I feel excited,” the 24-year-old midfielder told YouTube Channel, Victor Modo. “It’s a dream come true because we’ve been praying for opportunities like this to represent the country. For me to be among one of those guys that are going there, I’m excited and I’m looking forward to what’s going to happen over there.”

Chidera, who was honoured with the CSKA Moscow Player of the Month award for September, has registered four goals and three assists in 18 league appearances for the Horses, who are currently fourth in the Russian top division.

The Africa Cup of Nations gets underway January 9 in Cameroon, with Nigeria kickstarting their campaign against Egypt on the 11th.
