Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has praised star forward Cristiano Ronaldo, following their 3-0 win at Tottehman Hotspur.

Ronaldo hit a sublime volley to put Man United on the front foot and then assisted Edinson Cavani for the second goal before Marcus Rashford scored the third.

“Great goals, all of them. The first one is the major one. What a pass from Bruno [Fernandes] and Cristiano [Ronaldo] is the best. If he misses one he’s still as focused for the next one. What a goal. If he’s not up there when all these balls come in, I don’t know,” Solskjaer told BBC Sport.

WOW! ?

“The first goal always decides how the game goes.

“We worked on this this week. The boys were brilliant, they took it on board. We’ve built this performance on hard work, discipline and keeping the ball away from our goal. Spaces will open up especially if you get the first goal.

United, who are now fifth on the table, did well to return to winning ways and snap a four game winless run in the Premier League.

But they have a string of tricky fixtures ahead, with Champions League action against Atalanta in midweek before the Manchester Derby next weekend. Ole says it’s going to be another hard week.

“We’ve got a hard week again. Champions League game then City. We’ve got to digest this one and be ready for Tuesday.”
