“I can’t promise Bale and Hazard game time” – Real Madrid boss Ancelloti says
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelloti says he cannot promise Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard game time because he has an array of talents in attack, and they, too, deserve to play.
Bale, who returned to Madrid this summer from Tottenham, and Hazard are keen on getting more playing time, but Ancelloti has revealed that he plans on rotating his attacking line.
“I can’t tell you how many minutes they’re going to play. There’s a lot of competition up front,” Ancelloti said, when asked about his attacking options and his favoured line up.
“We’ve got some quality forwards like Bale, Vini Jr., Hazard, Benzema and Jovic, who did well [against Levante]. I have to enjoy that quality on the pitch by handing those who deserve to be out there the game time.”
Madrid drew 3–3 with Levante in La Liga on Sunday, with Vinicius Jr grabbing a brace and Bale scoring the other. They now have four points from their opening two league games this season.
