Eberechi Eze Faces Lengthy Time Out With Achilles Injury
Crystal Palace attacker Eberechi Eze faces at least six months on the sidelines with an Achilles injury he suffered in training ahead of the Eagles final home game of the season which is also Roy Hodgson’s last.
Roy Hodgson called Eze a doubt for the London derby against Arsenal on Wednesday during his press conference, albeit unaware of the severity of his injury.
The Athletic reports he will see a specialist to determine the extent of the injury which will likely require surgery and rule him out for most of next season.
The £25m signing from Queens Park Rangers who has impressed for Roy Hodgson will put pressure on Palace’s transfer plans if he is ruled out for a lengthy time with the rumour that Frank Lampard is set to take over the club.
Eze has a decision on his international future, he has played for the England youth teams but is also eligible to play for Nigeria through his parents having not played for the Three Lions.
