Lewy’s hattrick erase Haaland’s early brace to win Der Klassiker for Bayern
Robert Lewandowksi scored a hattrick to cancel out Erling Haaland’s early brace in an entertaining Der Klassiker as Bayern Munich ran out 4-2 winners with the fourth goal coming from Leon Goretzka.
Haaland scored within 74 seconds of the first half and a second in the eight minute to give Dortmund an early lead. Lewandowksi pulled one back for Bayern Munich in the 26th minute before adding a second from the penalty spot in the 43rd minute.
The last two games between the two ended 3-2 in favour of Bayern Munich with the winner coming late on in the game. The trend repeated itself with Leon Goretzka adding the third in the 88th minute and Lewandowksi completing his hattrick in the 90th minute to seal it for Bayern.
Bayern climbed back to the top of the table after Leipzig had topped after beating Freiburg earlier, Dortmund remains out of the top four.
