European football governing body, UEFA has rejected Israel’s proposal to host the delayed UEFA Euro 2020 originally to be hosted in 12 cities across Europe.

The tournament was initially scheduled to host in cities across Azerbaijan, Denmark, England, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Republic of Ireland, Romania, Russia, Scotland and Spain but due to Covid-19 still on the high across Europe and with travel restrictions among countries, Israel proposed to UEFA to host the tournament.

“We did offer Uefa any assistance necessary. We hope for all the Euro 2020 hosting, the national teams and clubs that it won’t be needed.”  a spokesperson for the Israel Football Association told City A.M.
