Aston Villa boss Dean Smith has been charged by the FA for breaching the FA rule E3.

Smith was sent off by referee Jonathan Moss in Aston Villa’s 2-0 loss to Man City after protesting a controversial goal in which Rodri came from an offside position to dispossess Tyrone Mings before Bernardo Silva scored.

Smith in his post match conference described his team’s performance as heroic and unlucky to lose to two unjust goals.

Smith has till Tuesday January 26 to respond.
