German player Niklas Süle will open his own bar together with his brother Fabian in his Hessian hometown Mörfelden-Walldorf.

“A dream emerged from bar discussions,” said the Bayern Munich central defender in an interview with GQ magazine.

The bar will be called “Forty Five”, an allusion to the shirt number that Süle once had at TSG Hoffenheim.

Over the last few years, over the Christmas period, he has always met his brother, who moved to New York to study in 2013, in the “Peoples” bar.

“With every drink there, the bar’s cult status grew for us,” said Süle: “It has become our living room for five years. A dream emerged from bar discussions.”

In the summer of 2020, the two brothers bought the bar, which would have opened in December under normal circumstances.  Due to the tight schedule, Süle has to wait for the next meeting with his brother.

“At some point Fabi and I will find a moment for each other in which we can toast.” he said
