Youths are Africa’s biggest resources and must be educated

Football legend Samuel Eto’o has said youths are Africa’s biggest resources and conscious efforts should be made to educate the youths.

He said this when talking about what his foundation, Samuel Eto’o foundation stands for during the World Football Summit held online due to corobavirus.

Eto’o said his goal was to try and give people opportunities, and said the focus of the foundation is on young people because Africa’s biggest resource is “its youth.”

“The best weapon that Africa has is its youths but the youths have to be educated,” the four time African player of the year said.

“We are a very rich continent but we have a lot of conflicts and I think that conflicts have to be fought through our education. We have to prepare and educate our youths so that they can defend this continent tomorrow.”

“Weapons will never defeat education. It is impossible. Impossible.” he emphasized.
