Tottenham and England midfielder, Harry Winks has described his long range effort as an overhit pass and Jose Mourinho is not too happy about that.

Winks scored from 55yards out in the 63rd minute against Ludogorets Razgrad in Tottenham’s 4-0 win in the Europa League and during his post match interview described it as unintentional and overhit.

Just how far out Harry Winks was.

“I’d love to sit here and say that I did, but I’ve got to be honest and say no, I saw Gaz (Gareth Bale) run in. I’ll take it at the end of the day. It has been a while [since I last scored] but I am happy with the way the team played.” he told BT Sports.

“He is too honest! I am not happy with him! With a goal like that you have to say you meant it, but a good kid. He is honest.” Mourinho  said.

“Winks was honest and he told in some flash interview that he wanted to play a diagonal ball to Bale. If it was me I would have said I did mean it and won the Puskas award.” the Portuguese said in a separate interview.

Carlos Vinicius (2) and Lucas Moura were the other scorers in the emphatic victory.
