Juventus manager, Maurizio Sarri has said the brilliance of Cristiano Ronaldo is not enough for Juventus to win the UEFA Champions League.

Sarri, answering a question from Omasport’s Oma Akatugba said the former Real Madrid attacker needs a working team to help him thrust Juventus to the peak of European football’s biggest prize.

Sarri said; Ronaldo, above all, is a lively player. Evidently, we are talking about an absolute world class player.

So this doesn’t mean you can just go and win always when you play against strong teams but definitely Ronaldo can be a big help for us.

”But he needs that the team functions also to help him do well.

I had this question in mind even before getting to Leverkusen and @Cristiano's 128th @ChampionsLeague goal made it an absolute must. pic.twitter.com/XdXpzUAtYq

That is exactly why I have said that. They are supposed to play to his strength now and not make him run as much as he is doing. https://t.co/JOX7EctVXp

Ronaldo joined Juventus last season and emerged the Serie A player of the year. His contribution however was not enough to see the Old Lady of Turin beyond a Quarterfinal finish in the Champions League.

Manager, Sarri believes Ronaldo has the goods in his leg and can help Juve conquer Europe but asserted that this may never happen if the team doesn’t make things easier for its star man.

”We are opportune to have a player like Ronaldo but then we need to think about him and also to put him in a condition where he can express himself,” he concluded.
